The champagne has gone flat, the kitchen is no longer stocked with Christmas goodies and the Nation is gripped with a sudden desire to head to the gym. It can only mean one thing, the dawn of a New Year. What’s top of your list of New Year resolutions for 2017? Do more exercise? Eat better? Spend more time with your family?

Sadly many of us will try to achieve everything in just one month which, the majority of the time, leads us to become overwhelmed with the pressure to reach our goals. That’s where we come in!   1. Declutter

Ever heard of the phrase “messy kitchen, messy mind?” Clearing cupboards helps give you a sense of control and ownership over your own space. Digging out those long-lost treasures can help you enjoy objects that you’d forgotten about.

  1. Slow Down

With so many commitments and engagements, it can be hard to find time to just be still. Maintain a sense of control over your life by dedicating an evening to doing nothing. Run a bath, watch your favourite film and pop on a face mask- we’ve got all you’ll need right here!

  1. Unplug

Studies have shown that staring at a screen just before bedtime can lead to disruptive sleep. Make sure you give your body the best chance at a full night slumber by reducing screen time prior to sleep. Pop your phone away, stay clear of the tablet and instead delve into an engaging book!
