A day in the life of Shaun

Presenter Blogs

Of course, presenters lead pretty normal lives outside of the Ideal World studios! So, if you want to hear what the loveable Shaun Ryan does on his days off, just keep reading!

If he’s not on your screens presenting, he’ll often be in his garden pottering about or sailing away somewhere on a cruise!

However, on his days off, he likes to relax with his mum. This is what his average day looks like:

“In all honesty, my mum and I don’t do a lot over the weekend apart from watching some films and going out for a few meals.

I always start the day with 2 strong cups of coffee and really am no good at getting going without it (I think most of us can relate here!).

I always have a cuddle with my cat Tink (pictured in the photo below) first thing in the morning and then feed him breakfast.

I speak to my mum every day and since she had her stroke, I’m trying to spend a few days with her every week. It isn’t easy as she lives in York, which is a couple of hours drive away but well worth the travelling!

If the weather is fine I will usually have a quick wander around my garden too and I try to exercise most days, even if it’s just for half an hour.

I usually check my Facebook in bed, both morning, night and several times throughout the day if I have time.

Finally, you’ll often see me in the kitchen cooking some good meals on my days off as it’s one of my favourite things to do!”

If you want to see more of Shaun, you can read about his cruise and garden tips from last year here. Or, check the TV Schedule to see when he’ll be on your screen next!

What do you like to do on your days off? Let us know in the comments!
